THE DEVIL WEDDING

Do you have any plan for this Halloween? How about trying a new "taste" of Halloween in Viet Nam, where you can participate in an amazing wedding:

THE DEVIL WEDDING

This is the first time young Vietnamese people organize such a special event like that on the occasion of Halloween. Halloween is not a yearly traditional event of Vietnamese. But with the development of information nowadays, young Vietnamese people have conditions to touch the cultures from different parts of the world, including Halloween. When THE DEVIL WEDDING was just on the plan and advertised by leaflets and the Internet, many young people felt excited about it, but some elders did not think so. There was a title on a famous newspaper said that young Vietnamese people these days were abusing a lot of special events from other countries, which are totally different from Vietnamese traditional culture.

Let see some photos below to understand why some reporters commented like that. According to me, this kind of event is pretty interesting and makes people feel so curious. Although Halloween is not a traditional event of Viet Nam, which makes Vietnamese not easily get acquainted with, but the ones who exerted themselves to the utmost to organize this event successfully are worthily admired.

Some "special" dishes would be served at the wedding:

Fresh brain with blood sauce

Human finger chips with chili sauce

Announcement about the Death Metal rock show with "the noises from the hell" sounds promisingly exciting…

The "currency unit" exchanged by VND will be used to buy food and drinks in the wedding party…

Some photos of the groom and the bride in the "wedding album":

So will you join in THE DEVIL WEDDING when you have a chance? You are foreigners? Do not hesitate to try a new "taste" of this Halloween if you are now in Viet Nam.

There were some people said to me that these photos were funny. Yup, I think just because this is the first time! Things would be better in the next events!

Welcome to Dennis Phan’s UNDERGROUND

Dear friends who first visited my page,

I have been a Y!360 user for such a long time before starting to try Blogger. These days, Y!360 has been making not only me but also other Vietnamese users feel really angry because of its freaking oddish kind of customer service. Y!Team said they have been on the track of developing a new product replacing Y!360, which means they will have no "authorities" in warranting the quality of it. Damn... Just imagine when you checked your blog comments or commented on others' blogs, and then you received a page with such a message like this: "ERROR! PAGE NOT FOUND!", how would you feel? Sometimes you click to view the whole blog, and what you see on the screen are entries posted...MONTHS AGO!!!

I began my blogging "career" with Y!360 in January, 2007. I have not written any entries in English before. Now I want to try something new, not only for practicing my English writing skill but also for meeting and making friends with other people from other parts of the world! And the first thing I must have to do was to make my own home page.

There were many choices for me on the Internet to select one service provider to fulfill what I needed: My Spaces (http://spaces.msn.com), My Opera (http://my.opera.com), Wordpress (http://www.wordpress.com) and Blogger (http://www.blogger.com). Each kind of blog services has different interesting features, and I was really wavering to choose one at that time. So that I learned each one carefully to find out what is most suitable for me when I had free time.

My Spaces and My Opera, both of them of course are better than Y!360. They let you add any module into your site, and arrange them based on what you feel catching the first look. Although My Spaces allow you to do whatever you like with your modules, in fact you are not allowed to change or add the HTML code, which means you will have some difficulties in personalizing your site in further. My Opera is pretty good, but somehow the way it manage you like My Spaces or other services (including Y!360). The most important thing that I want is something different, which means no need for finding any services having the same feature like my own Facebook!

Wordpress, just one word for praising, FANTASTIC: Many templates for you to change the look of your site, many supports for you to get from the online community, etc. With the friendly design, you can easily customize your page. But in fact, if you want to edit the HTML code, you have to...pay MONEY! Although Wordpress caught me the first look, I had to find another one. Like me, people prefer free product, so that why do I have to pay!

The final candidate is Blogger. Thanks for Google when providing this kind of service. I can do whatever I like with Blogger. I can add the widgets I like, I can arrange the modules, I can change the HTML code to customize my site, etc. Wow, it is really WONDERFUL!

Before starting to do something with Blogger, I am a "noobie" in HTML. How can I customize my page without any knowledge about this major? I had to spend one week in selecting the blog service which can meet my needs and "researching" into HTML code. Now maybe I am not a "noobie" anymore, lolz, maybe an amateur. I can find any part of my site in HTML to customize it, change the look of it, etc. Special thanks for some pros who had their own pages teaching me about HTML. Without them, I would not have any knowledge about this major.

I am eager to make friends with anybody who ever visited my site. Simply comment to any post on my page by clicking the Comments at the end of each post. Feel free to chat with me in the shoutbox at the home page. You can also send free sms to mobile phones with my telemessage sender widget on the right side bar (following the instructions or waiting for my next post discussing about this in further). You can easily keep on track when having a look at Recent Posts and Recent Comments. In order to find out who I am, you can check my Y!360 Site archives or my Facebook (on Other Sites bar). For further information, you can send me an IM or an e-mail to admin@dennisphan138.net.tf through the Online Support bar. I will try my best to make my page more and more interesting for not only me but also people who visit it have a comfortable and relaxing time. Welcome to my UNDERGROUND (http://www.dennisphan138.net.tf)
